pegasus

uwaaa, pegasus! i love this white-flying horse since i was 5 or 6 maybe.. first time, i saw pegasus is when i watched barbie series (actually i still watch barbie until now lol), pegasus sibling, unicorn has a horn in it head and can't fly as pegasus. so, this is the review of pegasus :


In Greek mythology, Pegasus is a winged horse, son of Poseidon and Medusa (a monstrous female on whom when gazed upon would turn onlookers into stone). Pegasus is associated originally for carrying thunderbolts for Zeus. He is generally pictured in white, sometimes in golden wings. The Pegasus was a great flyer.

There are two condition given for Pegasus's birth -

• It is said that Pegasus was born from Medusa's head when she was beheaded by Greek hero Perseus.
• Other say that Pegasus was born when Medusa's blood mingled with sea foam (Poseidon, the sea god).

Pegasus was not immortal. Because of his faithful service, Zeus honored him with a constellation. On the last day of his life, Zeus transformed Pegasus into a constellation.
